Twindly, an app boosted by AI technology, is a unique dating platform catering to users with distinctive personalities who may otherwise go unnoticed on conventional dating sites. During its preliminary roll-out, Twindly offered an 'AI twin' functionality, enabling members to interact with AI interpretations of possible partners. Regrettably, this feature didn't substantially elevate match frequencies due to inadequate engagement.

Our mission was to pinpoint the root causes of this predicament and design tactics to escalate user participation and enhance matchmaking successes.

We conducted user testing with 8 Twindly users and made iterative improvements based on the feedback collected. Updates were made to the AI twin interaction flow, color scheme, and the homepage interface to enhance user engagement and match potential.
